Before I left my heavenly home,

And came on earth to live,

My Father took me in His arms,

And said, "To you, this key I give.

It will open up the doors

That separate this place

For it can transcend the distance

Of earthly time and space.

This precious key is called Prayer,

You can use it any time

To talk to Me or seek My will,

So that yours coincides with Mine.

Dont forget to thank Me

By using the key to Gratitude;

Whether this door is wide or narrow

Will depend on your attitude;

Give thanks for heavens windows,

Yea, both great and small,

For I am the Bestower

Of those blessings all.

Another door this key unlocks

Is known as Unity,

As many join in common cause,

That as one you all might be.

When mortal life is full of trial,

Do not think you are alone,

For with prayer, Ill be near,

If you approach My golden throne.

Ask for things that you desire;

Theres nothing too great or small,

But beware you ask not amiss,

Lest to temptation you might fall.

Dont let the key get rusty

Or hide it in a darkened place,

For it will serve you all your life,

Until again you see My face."
