On October 31, 2017 debuted the work "Lutherstadt Wittenberg 2017" at the concert held at the Ruy Barbosa Auditorium, which celebrated two important dates: the 147 years of Mackenzie Presbyterian University and the 500 years of the Protestant Reformation. The work has a festive character and was composed especially for the occasion. It makes use of original musical material and quotes from the melody "Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott" (Castle Fort) by Martin Luther. The title of the work refers to the German city Wittenberg, which was the scene of the Protestant Reformation of 1517 and where the reformer Martin Luther preached his 95 theses on the door of the Wittenberg Cathedral, going against various dogmas of the Roman Catholic Church.
