Product Description

The work has a festive character and was especially composed for the commemorations of the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. The piece makes use of an original musical material and makes quotations of the melody "Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott" (A Mighty Fortress Is Our God) of Martin Luther. The title of the work refers to the German city, Wittenberg, which was the scene of the Protestant Reformation of 1517 and where the reformer Martin Luther preached his 95 theses, going against various dogmas of the Roman Catholic Church. It can be played in festive events, graduations, ceremonies, concert opening and worship services.

Duration: 05'00 min
