This composition begins with a 12/8 rock tempo. Although it is written in C, the composition is begins in D Minor. The Bassoon keeps the 12/8 going while the Clarinet, Oboe, and Flute become punctuations. The punctuation continues while the Flute plays the melody. At measure 15 the song moves into a 6/8 feel. At measure 34 the song returns to the original 12/8 feel. The composition then splits to where the Clarinet takes on harmony in the 12/8 feel while the Oboe and Flute take on a 6/8 countermelody. A short bridge is created by stacking the Flute and Oboe on top of the Clarinet/Bassoon 12/8 feel. Then it splits again to where Oboe stays with the Clarinet/Bassoon pattern and the Flute goes off on it's own. During this time the Flute folds in the 6/8 melody, creating a pleasant conflict.
