Variations for 2 violins and cello on a madrigal by Thomas Weelkes - an English composer and organist at Chichester Cathedral - in one of his many lighter moments
I haven't added a tabor part (neither did Weelkes) but a drummer or tabor player can certainly improvise along, of course....
In these variations the key changes and the third instrument has some cheeky alternatives to its part.
A version for violin, viola and cello is also available.
