Product Description

This was written as an ironic parody response to that Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer song we sing every year!
(Rudolphus Rubrinasus syndrome!)

Lyrics of the original song:

Well there's mince pies and sherry
and pudding and whisky
and there's candies and chocolates
to make us all frisky
but do you know the most famous
sweet of all?

Rupert the chocolate angel
Waited by the fire one day
'cos he was told that Santa
would be coming on his sleigh

all of the other chocolates
told him that he was a fool
they were afraid of melting
so they kept in shade and cool

but that night old Santa came along
at Rupert's request
and he gulped the whisky down
doffed his boots and had a rest

then he looked round at Rupert
melted now and quite deceased
gave out a little giggle
and had a little chocolate feast

Es gibt Stollen Pralinen
und knackige Nüsse
und dann Schnapps
und ein Feuer für die kalten Füsse
aber wisst ihr schon Bescheid
über diese Süssigkeit:

Ruprecht der Schoko-Engel
eines Tages sass am Feuer
da ein Besuch von Nikolaus
war ihm wirklich lieb und teuer

Die anderen Pralinen sagten
er war in Gefahr
Blieben ganz kühl im Dunkel
und sagten Ruprecht sei ein Narr

Doch am Heiligabend kam der
gute Nikolaus, trank den Schnaps
und setzte sich in
unserm warmen Haus

Dann sah er wie der Ruprecht
bei der Hitze ganz zergang
kicherte jetzt der Nikolaus
als er Schokolad' verschlang!

jam jam!jam jam!
Ruprecht!
