This is a new edition of Chopin's "Prelude in E Minor, Opus 28, No. 4" that is not based on Chopin's original autograph copy, but based on certain performance practices of this great masterpiece. While maintaining the exact notes, there are differences in slurring, dynamics, and articulations. The lyrical melody is notated to represent the natural nuances of the singing voice. The recording was recorded by Stevens in April, 2020. James Michael Stevens is a prolific composer residing in Nashville, TN and serves as the Music Department Chairman of Welch College.
