Almost feels like a lullaby, but more musical reflection as a mother who would watch their child softly sleep. Begins charmingly in E Major, but as the thoughts drift to the child's future there are variations in G and E minor, but then falls sweetly back to E Major. It is also a broken chord etude with only single notes in the R.H. chords and mostly single whole notes in the L.H.
