Product Description

Hodie Christus Natus Est translates to "Today, Christ is born."  Of all the "Hodie's" that I know of, this one is my absolute favorite.  

The original motet was written for 5 voices.  This transcription for brass choir has 8 voices.  The trombone parts were created to give the piece fullness, as they mimic the Trumpet 1 and 2 parts.  The Euphonium and Tuba parts share a lot the same notes also, to help give the piece a solid "bottom".  That said, this piece can be played with only 5 parts, but it sounds great with 8.  This piece will help make your Christmas concert a very festive one!

Scored for 2 Trumpets, 2 French Horns, 2 Trombones, Euphonium and Tuba.
