Product Description

Windswept: Legend of Sea and Sky (2003) for violin and guitar was commissioned by and is
dedicated to Duo46.

The work explores the poetic image of the title. It is one of many pieces by the composer
inspired by the landscapes of Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, USA.

Structurally, the piece is in two main sections, followed by a short coda. The first section is a
slow cantilena, the second section a vigorous dance. The dance winds down into the quite
windswept solace of the coda.

The set consists of a score for two players;  Two copies should be printed.
