This piece is a jolly tango that uses the 3/3/2 quaver rhythmic division of bars for the main tune sections. It features a cello tune in sections B and E and a more

sombre sustained tune and accompaniment in section C which abandons the Tango feel until it returns in section D.

Towards the end there is a modulation into D major at section F before the trills in the 3rd/viola parts lead to the final pizzicato chord.
