The five sacred madrigals for choir of mixed voices a cappella op.1714, were composed between September and the end of October in Rome in 1998 by Santino Cara. Certainly not reproduce the sweet style of the Renaissance madrigal, but starting from the original texts of the time, we wanted bring near with the polyphonic structure, the old and the classic in a manner simple and easy, to perform from the Chorus. However, it is considered important for the level of expression, always having as reference the text of the madrigal. I cinque madrigali sacri per coro di voci miste a cappella op.1714, sono stati composti fra il mese di settembre e la fine di ottobre a Roma nel 1998 da Santino Cara. Certamente non riproducono il dolce stile madrigalesco del Rinascimento, ma partendo dai testi originali dellepoca, si è voluto avvicinare con la struttura polifonica, il vecchio e il classico in maniera semplice e allo stesso facile per lesecuzione corale. Ad ogni modo, si ritiene importante per il livello espressivo, avere sempre come punto di riferimento il testo del madrigale.
