Product Description
With so many arrangements of Scarborough Fair to choose from, why another? Here is a fresh new arrangements that gives plenty of scope for expressive singing, lots of dynamics, a very manageable piano part (important for many choirs) and ranges that the average singer can manage to sing well and with confidence. Check out the YouTube link to follow the score.
Ideal for concerts or just for the pleasure of learning. Added bonus: Printing out music for a choir can be a major headache when funds are short! So this version has a full score with piano for you to use and also the choice of choir only parts (with minimal piano cues) if that helps.
Road-tested by a real choir!
And last but not least - living in Teesdale in the U.K. (as I do) which is just a couple of hours from Scarborough (a lovely place to visit) the following information which is freely available online might be of interest for concert use.
The famous melody was collected from Mark Anderson (18741953), a retired lead miner from Middleton-in-Teesdale, County Durham, England, by Ewan MacColl in 1947.
