Ive been obsessed with the Mitchell & Ruff recording of "Ah, Você" for a long time. In it, Dwike Mitchells rolling scales and arpeggios swirl around Willie Ruffs lyrical French horn line. At first, I experimented with recreating that rolling arpeggio texture at the pianofun to play, but never quite satisfying. Eventually, I shifted gears and created a piano solo arrangement that doesnt try to imitate their version directly, but instead captures its beauty while becoming its own piece.
