Product Description


Commissioned in 2015 by the Northwest Piano Trio, this trip-hop inspired piece incorporates the fingerboard slap and "cello chop" into a rhythmic groove, while the violin mimics the syncopated attacks and vocal fry characteristic of the genre. Harmonics can be substituted for the inhalation/exhalation noises at the end of the violin part (as in the recording). Named after the well-loved Portland-based chocolate company and hot-sauce brand...because some like it sweet, and some like it spicy!
