for Intermediate (with some beginner parts) Jazz Band + additional parts for Flute and French Horn

An arrangement of the classic White Stripes song, Seven Nation Army, written as a show piece.

It starts as a Swing arrangement in A minor, using the bass riff triplets as inspiration, with swung quavers. Towards then end of the section we hear the riff in D minor, giving it a bluesy-feel. At the end of this first section a quick switch of rhythmic emphasis and we're in "ROCK-MODE". A big sound with much of the band picking up the riff, passing it between the octaves. It then switches back to the chilled swing with
A final change back into the Rock has the piece building to a major climax with a descending bass and a repeat of the motif.

Written for a young jazz band (11-13 year olds) it is designed to be accessible and yet powerful sound. There are a mixture of ability parts. 2 saxes, 2 trumpets and 1 trombone for the traditional swing band, with the part 2s definitely easier.
There are also parts written for Flutes, clarinets and french horn, meaning this can be played by many concert bands. It is designed to be flexible, allowing access for young players of all abilities.
Rhythm parts include Guitar (notation and tab) Bass (notation and tab) Drum kit, Piano and an Easy Keyboard part, that mainly plays the bass part with some additional lines.
