Product Description

CHORALIS
It is a study for a six-part a cappella choir, in which each singer is encouraged to explore different sounds and sound effects, organizing ensembles through a flexible, timeless notation.
The text does not follow any pre-established form of literary composition, but rather addresses some social issues that plague Brazil, such as corruption, the lack of appreciation in education, the lack of support for culture, the lack of security and increasing violence, among other current issues.
At the end of the work, there is a booklet to guide interpretation.
It premiered (with adaptations) with the Merle Noir Choir of the University of the Philippines on May 8, 2014, under the direction of conductor and professor Michael Edward Edgerton.
