Product Description

Julius Fučík studied with Antonín Dvořák in Prague, and in 1897 he became bandmaster of the Infantry Regiment No. 86 in Sarajevo. In 1900 the regiment was relocated to the Hungarian capital Budapest, with new opportunities for the ambitious bandmaster, and in 1905 there he wrote the march DIE REGIMENTSKINDER (THE CHILDREN OF THE REGIMENT). The arrangement is kept in the original key for symphony orchestra and was first time performed by the Municipal Band of Zirl, Tyrol, Austria conducted by Albert Schwarzmann on 30 November 2019.
