Product Description
These ten compositions, conceived to accompany images and program music, originated from a project initially designed for a documentary about Tuscany: a visual and musical journey through landscapes, architecture, and symbolic places of a land rich in history and extraordinary beauty.
The aim was to entrust the music alone with the task of "commenting" on the image to penetrate and extend it, never to explain it, but rather to welcome and reflect the observers gaze in sonic form, in a silent and profound dialogue where the notes do not describe, but evoke. Although the documentary never came to life, the music had already been written, orchestrated, and completed. Hence the decision to give these compositions an autonomous form and to make them public, rescuing them from the fate of the unfinished.
The second piece is dedicated to one of Florences most iconic landmarks: Piazzale Michelangelo. Perched on one of the hills that embrace the city, the square offers a breathtaking view over the entire historic center and features, at its heart, a bronze replica of Michelangelos celebrated David. Just a little further down lies the Rose Garden, where, in May, dozens of rose varieties burst into bloom, filling the air with fragrance and colors that frame the magic and beauty of Florence. At sunset, the city is bathed in unique shades, and this piece seeks to capture in music that very special, unrepeatable light.
