Product Description

This arrangement by Alan Bullard of the timeless What a friend we have in Jesus begins with the tune presented in unison, then moving into a conversational texture between the two voices. An optional solo instrument (violin, flute, or oboe) leads into the fuller harmonised second verse, and then the final verse is elaborated with a descant and rich chromatic harmonies, sensitively colouring the simplicity of the original tune.

Published by Colne Edition in two versions: this one for SA (CE166) and also SABar (CE165), both with organ or piano, and optional melody instrument, for which a separate part is included with the score.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
