Denmark is a head based on Chick Coreas Spain and was originally written for solo piano before arranged for jazz quintet
Twenty Ten was originally inspired after seeing local band MoodSwingz and thinking that they could do with something a little edgier to play and improvise over from a set of changes I wrote on the guitar to create this arrangement in 2010. The bass line is pleasantly busy and works well to create a nice little groove to play against the drummers favourite funk pattern! I am hoping the guitarist will enjoy playing the changes using the chord voicings specified ( I certainly do ). I have added a slightly sweeter B section over which it should be fun for the soloists to stretch out on. I was pleased with the melodies I came up with and it should sound just dandy on the trumpet and guitar. Enjoy and I hope it gets your audience groovin'!!
