This is an SSAA arrangment of Little Alleluia, a rhythmic choral miniature, composed for the Chamber Choir Ireland Choral Postcards project, a program for secondary school choral composers.

The piece opens with a sparkling soprano motif, joined quickly by the other voices in rhythmic and fragmented repetition of the word "alleluia" representing an enthusiastic outpouring of joy. The piece alternates between 10/8 and 7/8, maintaining a feeling of spontaneity and exuberance. Soaring soprano and tenor lines weave together in a dramatic climax. Motion is created through the obscuring of the downbeat in the soprano line. The excitement of the 'alleluias' gives way to a peaceful ending, featuring warm, tender melodies in the inner parts surrounded by the slow and stately soprano and bass lines.
