Product Description

Tenebrae (the Latin word for 'darkness') is a religious service of Western Christianity held during the three days preceding Easter Day, commemorating the suffering and death of Jesus, and characterized by a gradual extinguishing of candles, and the strepitus or "loud noise" in the total darkness at the end of the service. Composed for London Saxophone Choir in 2009, this atmospheric piece calls for solo saxophone quartet to be separated at a distance from the main choir, creating harmonic moments of disturbance and resolution.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
