The first two lines are kept exactly intact to the original traditional folk song. The end of the song I made up trying to keep the same style. I did this to fill the entire paper (I don't like a lot of blank space).

How does this song sound like an exotic asian song? It uses pentatonic scale but not the 5 note pentatonic scale that westerners are familiar with. It is A B C E F instead of A C D E G. Those minor 2nds make it sound mysterious but yet so little notes make it sound ancient. You might call the scale A Hirajoshi pentatonic. It also could closely resemble a traditional asian scale: In-Sen pentatonic: A B D E G

I added a G# to make it seem even more exotic.

Translation of lyrics:
Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms,
On mountains, in villages,
As far as the eye can see,
Is it mist, or clouds?
Fragrant in the morning sun.
Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms,
Flowers in full bloom.
