The movements in this suite were inspired by the seasonal changes in the mountain ranges of Eryri in North Wales, UK.

The pieces are suitable for elementary to Grade 2/3 players, but the music can also be enjoyed by more advanced players, with the first flute having the most advanced part throughout the suite.

There is an optional alto flute part as an alternative to the 5th flute in Autumn Colours and Winterscape.

Spring has been written for 4 flute parts; however, there is the option for 2 flautists to play the first flute part, alternating 4 bars each.
