Munier, together with Graziani-Walther, was one of the most important mandolinists, composers and arrangers of mandolin and guitar music of the 19th and 20th century. Originally from Naples (where he grew inside the Vinaccia family, famous luthiers), he lived most of his life in Florence, where he founded the Regio Circolo Mandolinisti Regina Margherita (Queen Margherita Savoia was one of his students).
