Product Description

A score by Giovanni Matteo Asola, composer from Verona who studied with Vincenzo Ruffo and, although being surrounded by the "Venetian school" of the time (Zarlino, Willaert, Croce, Gabrieli...) preferred to compose in the "Roman style" of Palestrina. This transcription is of his "Surrexit Pastor bonus", for 4 voices for Easter's day. Transcription by Guido Menestrina
