This arrangement of Le Cygne (The Swan) for Solo Cello from Saint-Saëns' Carnival of the Animals is for small orchestra without Piano or Harp. The original Left Hand Piano I part is covered by another solo Cello (but optionally by either Bassoon or Bass Clarinet) with one bar by a Viola. Right Hand Piano I part is played by Flute (optionally for A/Bb Clarinet). I have included Piano (I & II) and Harp parts a well. The accompanying instrumental parts - except for the piano substitutes - are not difficult. There are no oboe, clarinet, trumpet, trombone or tuba parts. There is a small part for 2 Horns in F.
