Product Description

"Ode to Joy" from the IV movement of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, arranged for small ensemble of 2 clarinets, 2 trumpets/flugelhorns, trombone, tuba, and timpani & snare drum. This famous and beloved melody is arranged with a distinct nod to Beethoven's orchestration. First, it is introduced in the tuba (as Beethoven first introduces it in the cellos and basses). Then upper voices play as the vocal quartet. After a brass answer, the arrangement plays the "Turkish March" variation on the melody, before accelerating to a grand finale. A great piece for Easter or any time of year.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
