Product Description

Fillmore was an 18th century writer, composer, publisher, teacher, and hymnist from Ohio. Pounds was an 18th century writer, also from Ohio. Fillmore knew he could count on Pounds to provide good texts for his music. Sections A and C are the verse. Sections B and D are the refrain. A modulation to a new key occurs towards the end of section B with the help of a French augmented sixth chord. In section C, a descant by yours truly is then added. This piece should be played "Con gioia" or "with joy."

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
