Bohemian Rhapsody is a classic British glam-rock anthem, one of the best-known contemporary songs of all time. It has enjoyed various resurgences in popularity in media in the past half-century, such as the motion picture Wayne's World. Kathleen McGuire's arrangement was first featured on the album SFGMC DOES QUEEN (also conducted by the arranger), recorded live in concert and released on CD in January 2002. For the first time ever, a 200-voice men's chorus performed in concert the 200 vocal overdubs Freddie Mercury and Queen put down in the studio on their iconic 1975 album, A Night At The Opera. The arrangement includes the complete song, including the full instrumental break and the falsetto (counter-tenor) choral parts. The solo line needs a high tenor and has sometimes been performed instead by a woman (belter). The piano-vocal score can be performed as-is (available separately), but adding these rock instruments will provide your audience with an authentic 'Queen' experienced, including lead guitar (with Brian May's fully transcribed solos), electric bass, drum kit and synth.
