Service Music Volume 1 for SATB Choir, Solo Voice, and Piano has been composed by Joseph I. Corporon. This six movement work is designed to be used in part or in whole in traditional Christian worship services of any denomination.

Throughout the work much of the melodic and harmonic material is based on the intervals of the perfect fourth and perfect fifth, especially the third movement, Doxology.

The solo voice part in the Introit and the Sanctus is appropriate for a Soprano or Tenor soloist.

Vocal ostinatos are used creatively at the beginning and ending of the Gloria Patri.

The Sanctus and Memorial Acclamation/Amen movements can be used as choral responses during The Great Thanksgiving in worship services that include Holy Communion.

The Benediction is based on a verse of the hymn Lord, Dismiss Us with Thy Blessing, by John Fawcett.
