Videntes Stellam is the third of Quatre Motets pour le Temps de Noël (Four Motets for the Christmas Season), composed by Francis Poulenc in 1952. This motet captures the moment when the Magi see the guiding star and follow it to present their gifts.

This transcription for brass band follows the original choral setting closely, maintaining its serene yet luminous character. Performers are encouraged to listen to the original choral version to fully grasp the intended phrasing and style. This arrangement would be a great addition to a Christmas program.
