Product Description

"Crossing the Bar" (1889) by Alfred, Lord Tennyson served as the inspiration for Rani Arbos hymn-tune of the same name. The poem is a metaphor comparing death with crossing the sandbar between the river of life and the ocean that lies beyond death. The simple, peaceful, yet pensive version Arbo has created, is (as she says) almost a lullaby. This arrangement is scored for 4-part SATB ensemble to be performed a cappella. Performance time: 4:32+- Crossing the Bar has found its way into the hospice choir movement.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
