Creativity often flourishes under constraints. With no constraints, it can be hard to think of anything to write. One day I decided to challenge myself to do something with the sequence of notes, D-F-D-F.

The result was this quintet, comprising three movements of differing styles. It's a brass quintet for 2 trumpets, horn, trombone, and tuba with a length of about 11:20. I think it's pretty good, if I do say so myself. But it's not for the meek.
