This arrangement preserves the "British dance-hall" feel of the original song as sung in the musical Jekyll & Hyde. The subject matter is bawdy but not explicit. At first the melody is passed around the sections and eventually given over to a soloist, to whom the chorus reacts playfully. There is an eight-bar instrumental "dance break" in the middle, after which the soloist returns at a slow, sultry tempo, leading the piece to build in pace and volume to a loud, wild finish.

Choral parts are not difficult; there are many unison passages, and what harmony there is is fairly simple. Basses and Baritones are sometimes called on to sing near the top of their range in unison with the tenors; it is the choice of the director whether to employ an aggressive "shouty" tone there or not.
