Product Description

J.S. Bach's gorgeous Violin Concerto in E Major, BWV 1042, the complete work - no cuts or simplifications - arranged for string quartet.

If you prefer, you can use your own solo violin part for the 1st and 3rd movements - I've kept the solo part just as it is.
In the 2nd movement, I needed all 4 instruments just for the first 6 bars, as well as the final 6 bars (which the solo violin usually isn't playing in), to fully do justice to the gorgeous harmonies. If you are using your part for the outer movements, I would recommend using this 1st violin part just for the 2nd movement, as there will otherwise be a gap in the harmony.
