Derek Hasted writes "This Welsh traditional song Suo Gân is a charming lullaby, and drawn to the attention of the wider world by its haunting use in the Spielberg film Empire of the Sun.

My setting will suit an early intermediate to intermediate guitar duet, and it makes a very playable and contrasting piece in any school or adult concert.

I have added a few dynamics to mirror the gentle melody and its rise upwards to a lovely cadence and key-change, but this is always a quiet and tender piece.

Ive not added much fingering but most of the two-note chords were conceived to by playable in second position, and Ive shown where half barrés are needed. Elsewhere, you will need to move up the neck for the higher notes.
