This work was composed immediately after the dictators death as a harbinger of the longed-for decolonisation of Galiza. The title refers to the Oestrymnian aborigines that some historians identify in Ora Maritima by Rufus Festus Avienus as the first settlers of the west of the Iberian Peninsula, namely Galiza.
The harmonic and thematic construction is based on the contraposition of the two chromatic halves of a tempered scale.

Esta obra foi composta imediatamente após a morte do dictador como um prenúncio da ansiada descolonização da Galiza. O título refere-se aos aborígenes oestrymnios que alguns historiadores identificam na Ora Maritima de Rufus Festus Avienus como sendo os primeiros povoadores do ocidente da peninsula Ibérica, nomeadamente da Galiza.
A construção harmónica e temática baseia-se na contraposição das duas metades cromáticas de uma escala temperada.
