Product Description

The Air in d minor by English Baroque composer Henry Purcell comes from collections of keyboard music written in the late 17th century. The simple and tuneful melody (violin I) can be further advanced by exploring different fingerings and positions.

The following arrangement is for three violins and piano and allows the performers to play in a number of combinations:

Solo (violin I) with piano,
Duo (violin I and II) with piano
Trio (violin I, II, and III) with piano
Unaccompanied duet
Unaccompanied trio

Included are the piano and trio scores as well as an optional viola part to replace violin III
