Beim Stöbern durch meine Arrangements bin ich auf dieses Arrangement des altbekannten böhmischen Weihnachtsliedes gestoßen, das im Deutschen unter dem Titel "Kommet, ihr Hirten" bekannt ist. Dieses Arrangement ist bereits 15 Jahre alt und war das erste, was ich für die Instrumentalgruppe unserer Kirchengemeinde geschrieben habe. Der damalige Leiter hatte mich einfach mal gefragt, ob ich nicht mal etwas für die Gruppe für Weihnachten arrangieren wollte und ich habe spontan zugesagt.
Das Arrangement ist auf die Besetzung und auch das Niveau der damaligen Gruppe zugeschnitten. Diese Besetzung wird wohl in den wenigsten Instrumentalgruppen in dieser Form vorhanden sein. Es ist eine Mischung aus klassischen und volkstümlichen Instrumenten, als da wären: Klavier, Bass, Flöte, 2-3 Violinen, Akkordeon, Mandoline. Die Instrumente lassen sich bei Bedarf ersetzen, so wurde die Akkordeon-Partitur z.B. schon mal durch Klarinetten ersetzt. Genauso kann man die Mandoline durch ein beliebiges passendes Melodieinstrument ersetzen, allerdings hat man dann leider nicht mehr den typischen Tremolo-Klang.
While browsing through my arrangements, I came across this arrangement of the well-known Bohemian Christmas carol, known in German as "Kommet, ihr Hirten". This arrangement is 15 years old and was the first thing I wrote for our church congregation's instrumental group. The leader at the time simply asked me if I wanted to arrange something for the group for Christmas and I spontaneously agreed.
The arrangement is tailored to the line-up and the level of the group at that time. This line-up will probably only be present in this form in very few instrumental groups. It is a mixture of classical and folk instruments such as: piano, bass, flute, 2-3 violins, accordion, mandolin. The instruments can be replaced if necessary, for example the accordion score has already been replaced by clarinets. You can also replace the mandolin with any suitable melodic instrument, but unfortunately you will no longer have the typical tremolo sound.
