Product Description

La Dolorosa is a Spanish zarzuela, a kind of operetta, composed by José Serrano Simeón and premiered in Valencia on 23 May 1930. The aria "La roca fría del Calvario" became famous by great tenors like Alfredo Kraus, Plácido Domingo or Rolando Villazón. It was commissioned and first performed by Wind Philharmonic Mozarteum Salzburg conducted by Hansjoerg Angerer on 6 January 2014 in the "Grosses Festspielhaus" (Large Festival Hall) in Salzburg, Austria. Nutthaporn Thammati, Thai born tenor, sung the solo part in this performance.
