The political world is often referred to as being like a dance, with each side taking turns; leading the other side to their way of thinking before the other side changes direction and so on. I have always been fascinated by this concept and therefore have immortalised it in a piece. I have chosen a Waltz as the dance and have created a Strauss/Chopin-esque style, with an extended introduction before the Waltz leads the listener on a variety of different twists and turns before all the political upset dies down and fades into the distance as the dust settles.
