This is a fantastic piece for a quiet moment. It makes it all the more meditative by removing the striking qualities of the piano with the softer, more subdued qualities of the cellos.

The solo cello remains the same as in the original work. Three cellos have been cast as the accompanying instruments, which creates a true chamber-like feel.
Unlike my duet arrangements of Goltermann's "Nocturne in D minor" or Mendelssohn's "Song Without Words" -- also for sale in this online store -- this "quartet", as it were, makes an honest attempt at reaching the sublime.
