This is an adaptation of the traditional hymn, "The First Noel" with melodic changes to match harmonization similar to "rhythm changes" and arranged for jazz band, (2AS, 2TS, BS, 4Trpt, 4Trb, and rhythm section). It simultaneously fulfilled two objectives. The improvisation lessons for the band revolved around rhythm changes near the holiday season one year and there were no available holiday songs set to the rhythm changes progression. And, it set up an announcement to the audience that the long wait was over after the introduction of "The First Noel" that inferred that some day there would some day be a "Second Noel". It's here!
