Based in the Riverina Region of New South Wales, Australia, the Assai Quartet also recorded this work on the album Origin. Loosely translating as Were Finished! Hemos Acabado channels the energy and style of Latin-American music and has been re-orchestrated for upper-intermediate to more advanced Clarinet soloist (including easier ossia sections) and Piano by the composer. At just under two minutes Hemos Acabado is a fantastic tornado of semiquaver passages grounded by a comforting and toe tappingly recurring rhythmic motif: a great inclusion any program - and not just at the end!
