Product Description

Bill Withers wrote the song "Lean on Me" in 1972 after he had moved to Los Angeles from a coal-mining town in West Virginia. He found himself missing the stong community of Slab Fork, his old home town. This song has become a beloved anthem for several generations now - and has been included in films, concerts, marches, sing-alongs, tributes, school assemblies, graduations and even presidential inaugurations. It is a little R&B, a lot of Soul, and even a bit of American Folk music. There was a String Section included in the original recording - so it is only fitting that we tender this String Arrangement.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
