Commissioned by Vancouver-based male quartet Realtime, the classic from Peter Pan is transformed into an exciting jazz waltz. During the bridge the tempo relaxes a bit and goes into 4/4 swing, but in 8 bars it returns to the original tempo and meter. The bass and a tenor get to improvise thereafter, and the energy builds up to a key change where there is a little dreamy, reflective moment. The song keeps gaining momentum to a joyous and breath-taking climax. An excellent showcase piece for a strong male ensemble. TTTB a cappella (could be done by ATTB). Approx. performance time 3:15.
