This guitar transcription of Jacob Collier and Lizzy McAlpine - Never Gonna Be Alone primarily corresponds to the live acoustic version from the Blogothèque - "Take Away Show video because we can clearly hear and see what is being played. Additional cross-referencing was made, and elements included from 1) BBC Front Row audio broadcast from Aug. 24, 2022, which reportedly was the first time that Jacob and Lizzy had ever performed it publicly together, and 2) Live at the Troubadour which was the first performance in front of a live audience, and the first time Jacob and Lizzy were joined by John Mayer. Additional live footage was also used to verify other additions and variations.
This transcription is complete with four extra pages of study notes to guide you through the chord shapes, tablature and chor diagrams. Never Gonna Be Alone was written by Jacob Collier and Lizzy McAlpine, featuring John Mayer, and is featured on the Djesse vol. 4 album, although the album version does not feature the guitar at all.
Despite the harmonic complexity of parts of the song, learn the easy and repeatable chord shapes that Jacob actually uses to make this song easier to play than you think.
