This is a favorite of students. It is a fun tune and also makes a great performance piece. The piece begins with a pick up note and the left hand is staccato. I would suggest have the student reviewing staccato notes and have them practice that for several measures. This will build up muscle memory and control needed for playing the entire song. Maybe practice hands alone, practice scales in staccoto or using a timed exercise to see how long the students can play staccato notes that sound good. Enjoy!
